Semsons Tech
Diamond, Gemstone & Gemological Instruments
The catalogue devotes a full section to what it calls a wide range of diamond and gemstone tools — the instruments that surround every other machine on the floor. These are not accessories. Sorting, grading, measuring and verifying is what stops an error at stage three becoming a rejected consignment at stage ten.
The range spans gemological instruments, magnification, measurement, weighing, sorting, packaging and display, plus diamond and gemstone testers from recognised names in the trade.

Answers
Common questions
Written to be useful before you buy, not after.
Does Semsons Tech manufacture all of these tools?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Semsons Tech manufactures and develops its own machinery — including the self-developed control system on our diamond setting machines. A number of the gemological testers and instruments we supply are recognised third-party brands that we stock and support. Our catalogue presents them as products we offer, not products we build.
What tools does a diamond sorting bench need?
At minimum: an assorting lamp for consistent lighting, sieves for size grading, tweezers and scoops for handling, an assorting pad, a loupe, and a carat scale. A girdle reader and microscope follow as your grading requirements tighten.
What is a CVD diamond tester for?
It screens for laboratory-grown diamond, which a standard thermal diamond tester cannot separate from natural stone. If you buy in mixed goods or take customer material, screening is no longer optional.
