How long does induction melting take?

Catalogue-stated melting times are 4–6 minutes for the IG-1/2 (1–2 kg) and the IVC-1/2 vacuum casting unit, 6–8 minutes for the IG-3/4 (3–4 kg), and 15–20 minutes for the IG-10/20 (10–20 kg). All four are rated to a maximum 1200 °C.

What power supply does an induction melting machine need?

The IG-1/2 runs on single phase 230V/50Hz at 3.5 kW, which is why it suits smaller workshops. The IG-3/4 and IVC-1/2 need three phase 440V/50Hz at 7 kW, and the IG-10/20 needs three phase 440V/50Hz at 12 kW. Confirm your incoming supply before selecting a capacity band.

Do I need a water chiller?

Yes — every induction model in the range is specified with a water chiller as its cooling system, and the stated machine weights include it. Factor the chiller footprint into your layout: 630 × 630 × 960 mm on the IG-3/4, IG-10/20 and IVC-1/2.
