IG-1/2
Single-phase induction melting - the capacity band that fits a workshop without a three-phase supply.
Casting & Induction Melting Machines · Vacuum Casting
Melts under induction and pours from the bottom under vacuum - the cleanest metal reaches the flask first.

Floors casting detailed or thin-section work where gas porosity and oxide inclusion are the recurring defects.
Send us your designs and target output. We will tell you honestly whether this machine, a smaller one, or a larger one fits — including when the answer is "you don't need this yet".
Alternatives
Single-phase induction melting - the capacity band that fits a workshop without a three-phase supply.
The mid-capacity IGBT melter - 3 to 4 kg per cycle on three-phase supply.
The largest melter in the range - 10 to 20 kg per cycle, with a dedicated tilting unit.
A further casting platform in the range, shown in the catalogue alongside the IG and IVC machines.
Answers
The IVC-1/2 melts under induction and pours from the bottom of the crucible under vacuum, rather than tipping from the top. Bottom pouring means the cleanest metal enters the flask first, because oxide and dross float. Vacuum reduces gas porosity in the casting. Together they address the two defects that most often send a flask back.
Same capacity band - 1 to 2 kg - and the same 4 to 6 minute melt, but the IG-1/2 is a melting machine on single phase 230V at 3.5 kW, while the IVC-1/2 is a casting machine on three phase 440V at 7 kW and weighs 255 kg against 120 kg. You buy the IG to melt; you buy the IVC to melt and cast under vacuum in one operation.
Rated power is 7 kW. It runs on Three phase 440V / 50Hz. Confirm your incoming supply before you order — voltage and phase are the two things that most often need changing after a machine has already been built.
It weighs 255 kg. Allow clear working space on the operator side, plus access for any support equipment — compressor, air dryer or water chiller — when planning your layout.
Yes. We commission the machine on your floor and train your operators on your own material and your own designs rather than a demonstration sample. Semsons Tech has served the diamond and jewellery industry since 1978, and on our setting machines the control system is self-developed, so support does not depend on a third party abroad.
We do not publish delivery times, spare-parts pricing or AMC terms, because all three depend on configuration, destination and what is on the floor at the time. They are confirmed in writing on your quotation rather than estimated here. Ask for them explicitly when you enquire and you will get them in writing.
We quote per configuration and destination rather than publishing a list price, because voltage, tooling, spares package and shipping all change the figure. Send us your requirement through the form on this page and you will receive a written quotation.
Quotation
Tell us your designs, stone sizes and target output. We reply within one working day with the right configuration and a written quotation.
Your enquiry reaches our team tagged to this exact model, so you will not be sent a generic brochure.
