What is the difference between the SMT 01, 02, 03 and 04 rolling machines?
Roll size, power and weight. Roll width and diameter go from 101 × 57 mm (4″ × 2.25″) on the SMT 01 to 152 × 101 mm (6″ × 4″) on the SMT 04; the maximum sheet width rolled goes from 60 to 100 and the wire groove range from 0.75–8 to 0.75–12. The SMT 01, 02 and 03 run on single phase at 1, 1.5 and 2 hp; the SMT 04 needs three phase at 5 hp. Weights run from 210 kg to 600 kg.
Which rolling machine runs on single-phase power?
The SMT 01 (1 hp / 0.75 kW), SMT 02 (1.5 hp / 1.1 kW) and SMT 03 (2 hp / 1.5 kW) are all single phase on the catalogue table. Only the SMT 04, at 5 hp / 3.75 kW, requires a three-phase supply.
How much floor space does a double head rolling machine need?
Catalogue machine dimensions are 85 × 34 × 117 cm for the SMT 01, 97 × 42 × 125 cm for the SMT 02, 107 × 51 × 132 cm for the SMT 03 and 140 × 55 × 150 cm for the SMT 04, at 210, 350, 455 and 600 kg respectively. Allow working room on the feed and exit sides and a route in for the weight.
Does the SMT 01–04 come with installation and training?
Yes. We commission the machine on your floor and train your operators on your own material and your own designs rather than a demonstration sample. Semsons Tech has served the diamond and jewellery industry since 1978, and on our setting machines the control system is self-developed, so support does not depend on a third party abroad.
What is the delivery time, and how are spare parts handled?
We do not publish delivery times, spare-parts pricing or AMC terms, because all three depend on configuration, destination and what is on the floor at the time. They are confirmed in writing on your quotation rather than estimated here. Ask for them explicitly when you enquire and you will get them in writing.
What does the SMT 01–04 cost?
