Before you order

What it is a two-part silicone putty. Parts A and B are mixed before use.

What it does holds a jewellery wax piece secure and precisely positioned while stones are set into it.

Your machine Diamond Wax Setting Machines — it works as a general-purpose holding compound across the range.

Buying limits 10 kg maximum per customer account, for life. You will also need to be signed in — this product cannot be bought as a guest.

Semsons Tech AB Silicone Putty is a two-part moulding and holding compound made for one job: keeping a wax piece exactly where it needs to be while a Diamond Wax Setting Machine sets stones into it. You mix the two parts, press the putty around the piece so it takes the shape, and it firms up into a base that will not let the wax shift, rock or creep for the length of a production run.

That matters more than it sounds. A setting machine works to a coordinate map and has no way of knowing the wax has moved — it simply keeps placing stones against positions that are no longer where it thinks they are. Nothing alarms, nothing stops, and the problem surfaces after casting when the piece comes back with stones out of line. A holding compound that grips properly is the cheapest possible insurance against that, and mixing it takes under a minute.

Key Benefits

  • Made for Diamond Wax Setting Machines — not a general craft putty pressed into service
  • Holds through the whole run — no shift, no rock, no creep under machine vibration
  • Mixes and moulds easily — conforms closely to the shape of the wax piece
  • Flexible but firm — enough give to seat the piece, enough grip to hold it
  • Releases cleanly — comes away from the wax without marking or dragging it
  • Suitable for repeated use across ongoing jewellery-setting production
  • Consistent batch to batch — so the handling you learn stays true

Pricing and Purchase Limits

Pricing on this product is tiered by quantity and is applied by the cart automatically — there is no coupon code, and nothing to ask for. What there is, and what is worth reading before you order, is a firm ceiling on quantity:

Quantity in your order Per kg incl. GST Per kg ex-GST What happens
Under 5 kg ₹1,999.00 ₹1,694.07 Standard rate.
5 kg and above ₹1,299.00 ₹1,100.85 Discount applied automatically in the cart. No code needed.
Above 10 kg per account Not available. 10 kg is a lifetime maximum per customer account.

The price shown beside the Add to cart button is the ex-GST figure (₹1,694.07), which is how prices display across this store; the ₹1,999/kg above is the same rate with GST included. Both describe the same price.

The 10 kg ceiling is a hard limit, not a pricing tier. It counts everything a customer account has bought over its lifetime, not per order, and once it is reached the cart will not accept more of this product at any price. For the same reason, this product requires a signed-in customer account — guest checkout is not available on it, because the limit is tracked against the account. If you need volumes beyond 10 kg, talk to our wholesale desk rather than opening a second account.

How to Use It

  • Take equal working amounts of part A and part B and knead them together until the colour is completely uniform
  • Work promptly once mixed — mixed putty firms up, so shape it while it is still pliable
  • Press it around the wax piece so it keys to the form rather than just sitting under it
  • Leave the stone-bearing surfaces clear so the setting head has a free approach
  • Check the piece cannot rock before starting the run — this is the entire point of the compound
  • Peel it away when the run is finished rather than levering the wax off it

Who Uses It

  • Diamond jewellery manufacturers running wax setting machines in daily production
  • Multi-shift production floors that buy holding compound as a standing consumable
  • Designer and boutique studios setting small batches and one-off pieces
  • Lab-grown diamond houses running CVD and HPHT stones at export tolerances
  • New machine owners stocking a first consumables kit alongside trays and nozzles

Questions about this product

What is AB Silicone Putty used for?

It holds a jewellery wax piece securely in place while a Diamond Wax Setting Machine sets stones into it, giving you a stable, precisely positioned working base for the length of the run.

Is it a two-part compound?

Yes. Parts A and B are kneaded together before use. Once mixed it can be moulded around the wax piece and then firms up to hold it securely through setting.

Is it compatible with all Diamond Wax Setting Machines?

Yes — it is formulated as a general-purpose holding compound for diamond wax setting workflows rather than for one specific machine model.

How does the volume price work?

Put 5 kg or more in your cart and the rate drops from ₹1,999/kg to ₹1,299/kg on its own. There is no coupon code and nothing to request — the cart applies it as you add quantity.

Why can I not order more than 10 kg?

10 kg is a lifetime maximum per customer account on this product, counted across every order that account has placed. It is a hard limit rather than a pricing step, so the cart will stop you rather than re-pricing the extra. If you need more than that, contact our wholesale desk.

Why do I have to sign in to buy this?

Because the 10 kg limit is tracked against a customer account, this product cannot be bought as a guest. Create an account or sign in before adding it to your cart and checkout runs normally.

How should I store it?

Keep both parts sealed, cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, and away from any heat source. Store the unmixed parts separately — once A and B are combined, the reaction starts and does not stop.
