Diamond Sorting Trays for Automatic Stone Setting Machines
Ten tray models for round stones from 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm.
The sorting tray is a machined plate with one pocket for each stone. You fill it with stones of one size, place it on the machine, and the suction nozzle picks the stones from the pockets one by one. Each model is cut for one band of stone sizes and pairs with a matching nozzle.
Choose Your Tray
- Measure your stone. Take the diameter of the round stone in millimetres.
- Pick the format. DSSMT trays hold the most stones per fill. Wide-format trays (DSSMT-01L and SSMWT) are wider and shorter, and hold fewer.
- Order the model on that row, and the nozzle beside it.

- Each model is one tray. Each model is a separate line in the cart, so different models can go in one order.
- Standard and wide-format trays of the same row hold the same stone sizes. The difference is how many stones one fill takes and the shape of the tray.
- The 2.0 mm and larger trays have deeper pockets, so a bigger stone sits flat for the nozzle.

Care
- Empty the tray by turning it over onto a sorting pad. Do not sweep stones across the pockets.
- Blow out dust with clean, dry air.
- Store it flat and unstacked, and keep solvents off the pocket faces. A scored or dented pocket changes its depth, and the nozzle is set to that depth.

Which tray do I need?
Measure the round stones you are setting and find that size in the table above. Choose the standard or wide-format model on that row. The same row gives the nozzle it works with.
Standard or wide format?
Both hold the same stone sizes. A standard tray takes more stones per fill: 3,200 against 2,550 up to 1.9 mm, and 800 against 735 from 2.0 mm. Choose the wide format if its shape suits your machine layout or the way your operator loads stones.
Will it fit my machine?
Every model fits the Semsons Tech X4 Pro Plus, Pro Mini and ST-HDSSM automatic wax setting machines.
Can I put a different stone size in a tray?
Stay inside the size band of the model. A stone that is too small sits too deep for the nozzle to reach, and one that is too large sits proud of the pocket and is knocked aside. Both leave gaps in the wax.
What does the number engraved on the tray mean?
It marks the stone size the tray is sorted for, so the operator can check the tray before loading it. You receive one tray per model ordered.
How many trays should I keep?
One for each stone size you run, plus a spare of the size you run most. On a double-station machine a second tray lets you fill one while the other is on the machine.
Is the price the same for every model?
Yes. All ten models are the same price, and the price shown includes 18% GST.
